Antigua
The main square
More flowers for me Mum
The peoples market of Antigua where the locals go to shop.
Another shot of the market.
One of the many churches in Antigua. Seeing as the place is surrounded by
volcanoes and tends to be regularly struck be earthquakes there's a whole
lot of praying going on around here.
The arch with a big old volcano in the background.
Another church in Antigua being set up for a wedding.
The first church at night.
Our bikes safely tucked away in the Hotel San Francisco where we stayed before
meeting our host families.
Yet more flowers for me Mum. This is one of the walls next to our Spanish
school.
The main square at dusk with the municipal building in the background.
A rare view of the top of the largest of the the three volcanoes surrounding
Antigua. It's usually got its head buried in the clouds. I believe that this
volcano is called Agua. I though calling a volcano Water was pretty odd but
apparently every time it goes off it floods the city. The mechanics of how
this works escapes me but that's what I was told.
