Day 52 – Localita Malnago Italy

Day 52

Trieste Italy – Venice Italy – Localita Malnago Italy

As promised today was bright and beautiful.

I took a few pictures of Trieste before making my way around the Adriatic Sea towards and then I stopped for lunch in Venice.

“I stopped for lunch in Venice” I got to admit I really like the sound of that.

After walking around Venice for an hour I hopped back on the Guzzi  and made my way north of Milan.

The riding today was mostly uneventful and I just enjoyed being in the sunshine. The highpoint of the day was following various Italians as I white lined it through traffic. It really seems like the traffic laws don’t apply to motorcycles in Europe and they’re expected to make their way in the most expedient manner possible. The only downside to this is that it really seems to confuse the car drivers when you follow the same  rules they do which I tend to do when I’m in a city and I’m not sure where I’m going.

As I approached Malnago I stopped at a park along Lake Como to take a few pictures and a local asked to for a cigarette. We chatted and he asked me what I did for a living “computers” I responded. What do you do for a living? “Executive chef, are you hungry?” Well when a chef asks me if I’m hungry I tend to respond in the affirmative. So thanks Emmanuel for the home cooked meal and showing me a bit of the town. Definitely a great exchange for a cigarette.

Tomorrow I plan on heading over to Mandello del Lario to have a chat with the Guzzi folks about their products!
